Description tea 2022-01-04 12:26:54 UTC
From the news article:

> In addition to Gentoo developers overseeing a native Matrix channel dedicated to our distribution #gentoo:matrix.org, we now maintain a Matrix space #gentoo-linux:matrix.org which includes both the native channel and several bridged Libera Chat IRC channels.

However, when I try to join the space, I get an error message saying that it doesn't exist.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a Matrix client
2. Try to join #gentoo-linux:matrix.org
3. Get error message

Having just checked, it seems something's gone wrong on the Matrix side - the address of the space is gone and when I try to re-add it, I get an error. Thanks for the report will chase it up with server admins.

In the meantime, can you find the space by looking it up by name "Gentoo Linux"? That should in principle work.

Update: I've managed to re-add and publish the space address by using the Android version of Element instead of the Web-based one, let me know if it works.

Yes, it works now. Thanks!
