Are you not using the Gentoo mirrors? Please check your GENTOO_MIRRORS setting.

I think it's a minor bug (ideally SRC_URI would be extremely stable but I guess it's okay if upstream remove old versions after a few years - at least it's mirrored) but I've just bumped to the latest version upstream. tbh I often think bugs like this are useful if nothing else because they help us identify users who need to use mirrors :) Given we will stabilise and cleanup this version in due course, I'm inclined to just call it WONTFIX or INVALID given it's reachable by mirrors.
