Radium tracker could be worthy opensource (GPL-2) alternative to sunvox, which should be as friendly according to what I found in internet (did not try it). Too bad, for now I could not even build it for self manually from sources. Access to demos and beta binaries requires subscribtion (situation looks almost like ardour, though a bit tighter and as unclear as new for me). It's certain for now, that its build system needs to be fixed / improved - in paricular, VST search dir must be configurable until vst support is easy to disable (LADSPA support is in current features list).
