Description Holger Hoffstätte 2005-02-21 04:19:16 UTC
app-arch/dar 2.2.1 is out and fixes some minor bugs introduced in 2.2.0. I also enhanced the 2.2.0 ebuild to USE nls, static and 64bits which will enable the 64-bit integer mode (instead of the default infinite-int). This reduces memory usage and backup time quite a bit (see doc/LIMITATIONS). Also the CFLAGS and -j flag filtering have been removed, I've built it successfully several times with -O3 and distcc. "64bits" is just a suggestion, I couldn't come up with a better name. :)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:

The ebuild works for me on two different machines (Thinkpad Laptop PIII & P4
Workstation). On a third VIA C3 machine I got a C++ "uncaught exception" on
startup during argument parsing (??) when enabling -mmmx - this might be caused
by me using gcc-3.4.3.20050110 even though I didn't have any other problems with
this release on the other machines. It does work without -mmmx; very strange,
probably a gcc bug.

Just a note on the aforementioned exception: downgrading to gcc-3.4.3-r1 made the error disappear. :)
