There's a bug in the network protocolo that causes disconnection from the server as soon as you connect. It only works right if you're the first one to connect to the server. Since this game is multiplayer-only, I think this should be blocker. CVS version is already patched, but it breaks backward compatibility, so CVS users won't be able to connect to 0.8 servers.

well since the solution is screwed either way and upstream has it resolved,
nothing to really be done here
