mutt-1.5.8-r1 works properly under amd64 and the current amd64 version (1.5.6-r4) breaks if you have NNTP in USE Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
Can confirm that mutt-1.5.6-r4 with "nntp" in USE flags is broken. Maybe better fill in a bug report regarding that version broken
I've already done that see bug #82617 The maintainer has marked it as fixed-resolved with the comment that it is fixed in 1.5.8, I've added a note that 1.5.8 is masked by keyword for all hardware and that it surely should be fixed in 1.5.6
Joel, just reopen Bug #82617 Have seen some weird commenting out in 1.5.6-r4 ebuild, also the digest seams to be currently invalid here...
Joel: we have a testing policy of 30 days before ebuilds go stable, if there is no problem
The mutt-1.5.6-r4 and -r5 ebuilds are fixed now. Sorry about the nntp patch fixups. 1.5.8-r1 will go stable after the appropriate testing period
