The last sentence in the "Creating Filesystems" section, Section 4.d of the x86 Installation Guide, reads: "Create and activate the swap now." The few steps before the statement deal with creating a new swap partitions and "swapon"ing it, thus creating and activating the swap. It is confusing to be told "Create and activate the swap now." immediately after having been guided through creating and activating the swap :) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?part=1&chap=4 2. Read section 4.d 3. Wonder why after creating and activating the swap, you are asked to "create and activate the swap now. Actual Results: Nothing remarkable - this is a documentation error. Expected Results: The document should not have the offending line.
The text above doesn't mention you need to do it, it just informs you how things would be done. This paragraph said "do it". I've rewritten the sentence to be a bit more clear on this.
