I'll try again on another machine.

Sandbox violation on the 1.4 machine, see 8063
Comment 2 Seth Chandler 2002-11-30 14:34:47 UTC
Were you using a 1.2 machine, without gcc 3.x?
Comment 3 Ian Smith 2002-11-30 16:41:17 UTC
Unfortunately I have since reinstalled my system, but it did work with 1.4. I
no longer use the 1.2 machine, but I did upgrade gcc as I recall. I'm just
about to emerge OOo on the new installation . . . I expect it will work this
time . . .
Comment 4 Seth Chandler 2002-11-30 16:50:15 UTC
don't expect too much, it still depends a lot on what jdk you're using...it
should work with blackdown 1.3.x and probably sun 1.3.x....the 1.4's is where
it gets a little shady. I'm playing catch-up here trying to get us up to date
with other peoples patches b/c 1.0.1 isn't meant to compile on a bleeding edge
machine...i'm closing this, any problems you have on the new compile bug it
asap, i'll do what i can to get some updated ebuilds in portage, but i'm
waiting on a new feature to determine some versions...
