I discovered the hard way that the default Gentoo Bugzilla search only looks in
"NEW," "ASSIGNED," and "REOPENED." I believe it would be more intuitive if it
looked in all stati, at least "RESOLVED." I was the third person to submit a
duplicate bug report to #7803. The only reason I submitted a report was because
I failed to find the original. When I noticed that I hadn't been searching the
"RESOLVED" reports, I found the original easily.

The search seems too restricted again. For example, when searching for existing bugs before entering a new one, the search returns only UNCONFIRMED, NEW, ASSIGNED, and REOPENED bugs. Having the search return resolved bugs would probably cut down on duplicates like with bug 23276.
