I am trying to emerge libsdl2 as a dependency of games. In the beginning I used -Os but I am switching to -O2. VIDEO_CARDS=vc4 can be a source of problem, too, since I don't get the full graphic acceleration to work ("OpenGL renderer string: llvmpipe (LLVM 13.0.0, 128 bits"). Hardware is a Raspberry Pi 400. Reproducible: Always

Seems like a duplicate of https://bugs.gentoo.org/741490 (for libsdl2-2.0.12-r2).
(In reply to Tee KOBAYASHI from comment #6) > Seems like a duplicate of https://bugs.gentoo.org/741490 (for > libsdl2-2.0.12-r2). Yes. I tried to use the patch from https://bugs.gentoo.org/741490#c26 but it didn't work, the patch couldn't be applied. build.log follows

That was not intended to apply as a user patch. Try https://bugs.gentoo.org/attachment.cgi?id=752310 instead. To use this make sure that "video_cards_vc4" USE flag is set (VIDEO_CARDS="vc4") and that media-libs/raspberrypi-userland is already merged.

Now I will compile a game.
Everything looks good.
Imho this bug can be closed. If I recall it right, the VIDEO_CARDS="fbdev v3d vc4" was lacking v3d.
Maybe I've missed the fix that was put forward here but just wondering if we are really at the bottom of this duo (with bug #741490)? I also had similar problems which magically/strangely fixed themselves similar to comment 2 in bug #741490 (which made me thought of some dependency). I thought I'd try "~arm64" giving 2.0.20-r1 and that seems to work (did this bug get resolved specifically?). It did not *seem* to correlate to anything to do with v3d or vc4 as I had both... BUT... Interestingly I was recently playing with the mesa problem from a year or so ago where sakaki had to manually force gallium in mesa for the Raspberry Pi 4 (sorry I'm new so cannot post the link). So perhaps, maybe, there is something not being picked up in another package somewhere or maybe I just missed something in my understanding?.. AFAIK there was nothing fixed permanently yet but patched and isolated... I've not yet looked into why 2.0.20-r1 fixed this though, or is this just expected and I'm playing catch-up?
