Just after upgrading to hibernate script 1.0.5, my kde panel disappears when hibernating. Otherwise everything was fine.

With the previous version, this did not happen.

I have tried tweaking the settings in /etc/hibernate/hibernate.conf and have not been able to make this go away.

Also the kde progress display that is supposed to appear does not.

Any idea?

Please try disabling the xstatus scriplet in hibernate.conf.
