Created attachment 51455 [details] tentative ebuild for et:e 1.0 final This is my suggestion for an ebuild. It works by applying the patch. However the URL for the patch file is not right and I get a strange error when hosting a game that some data for my player model could not be found ...
today they released a patch for this version dated 2005-02-17 :)
I've included another ebuild - this one includes the patch from 02-17-2005. It takes the full build from 02-09-2005. I've also bumped the version to beta (changelog says we are upto Beta 0.4 Build 7).
Created attachment 51732 [details] True Combat Elite beta ebuild (upto date from 17-02-2005) Using full install from 09-02-2005, then patching to 17-02-2005.
It would be nice if the ebuild made an icon under kde/gnome menu's
now the 3rd patch (aka 0.48) is out ;)
Created attachment 53062 [details] Another Beta ebuild taking the version upto 0.48 Takes the full install 0.46 and updates with the latest patch to 0.48
Could you, please, change the ebuild mime type? Thanks...
Unfortunately, the TCE mirrors pretty much suck. I have been unable to find a decent mirror for any of this stuff to be worth putting it into portage, since I don't want to waste time working on "this mirror is broken" bugs. Find me a good list of mirrors that work correctly via wget, and I'll add this.
what about RESTRICT="fetch" ? imho this is better than keeping an outdated ebuild...
I mean I have been unable to successfully download the software to even be able to digest/verify the ebuild.
ok let's try it again: http://www.truecombat.us/index2.php?page=downloads -> http://www.truecombat.us/files/tce-linux_048_patch.zip -> http://www.truecombat.us/files/tce-linux_046_full.zip they mirror the release on their site and as the tc.us team consists of three tc:e devs these links should be pretty stable ;)
Thanks for the links... Added to CVS...
