After installing www-client/firefox-bin-94-0.1 regular clicks often seemed to register as double-clicks. Text would highlight as if selected by double-clicking often, and elements that depend on a single click such as collapsing comments on e.g. reddit would expand, then collapse, as if clicked twice. Emerged =www-client/firefox-bin-93.0 instead and clicks register normally. Firefox was the only thing affected and downgrading only firefox-bin fixed the issue, so definitely ruling the mouse itself out as a culprit. emerge --info Portage 3.0.28 (python 3.9.7-final-0, Hi Jonas, Oddest thing, but I can't get it to reproduce the behavior now. I first installed firefox-bin-94.0.1 on Nov 04, 2021 14:46:44 according to /var/log/emerge.log and experienced the problem immediately upon every start of firefox. It was noticeable within a few minutes and never went away through multiple restarts of firefox. Haven't emerged or changed anything other than to downgrade firefox prior to reporting the bug at Nov 07, 2021 01:26:06. No reboots, etc. Basically nothing on my setup has changed, but it's completely fixed after re-emerging firefox-bin-94.0.1 again. My best guess since nobody else has reported it, which I think they would have before me if it were a rampant issue, is that it must have been something else. Maybe something stale in the .mozilla folder? Though even then I can't imagine how it'd have gotten fixed. Either way, I can't reproduce it now. It's behaving fine, so I suppose this bug isn't a bug.
Firefox-94 received a bunch of patches within the last 24 hours. Could be related to those. Please next time also show your USE flags for firefox, I'd suspect it's got something to do with wayland...
