Description bagas 2021-10-31 12:17:20 UTC
Hello.
Skypeforlinux 8.77.0.90
My system Linux 5.10.74-gentoo x86_64.

lsusb | grep Log
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 046d:c52f Logitech, Inc. Unifying Receiver
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 046d:0825 Logitech, Inc. Webcam C270

If you go to the Skype settings -> sound and video -> camera, then I see myself, web camera is working.
If i start a video call with someone, the picture from the camera appears ( i see the indicator on the webcam is on ) until the other subscriber accepts the call (webcam indicator goes out after).
What could be wrong?

There is one nuance.
The webcam is connected to a usb hub into which a Logitech m310 radio mouse is connected.
If the mouse is disconnected from the usb hub, then the camera shows.
As I understand it, there is a conflict between devices connected to the usb hub, Logitech m310 mouse and Logitech C270 web camera.
I didn’t notice this before.

Reproducible: Always

It is sad to read that you have problems with skype. The situation seems to be a bit more complicate and requires some analysis.
We can not help you efficiently via bug tracker. The bug tracker aims rather on specific problems in .ebuilds and less on individual systems.

I have had very good experience on the gentoo IRC [1] with questions like this. Of course there are also forums and mailing lists [2,3].
I hope you understand, that I will close the bug here therefore and wish you good luck on one of the mentioned channels [4].
Please reopen the ticket in order to provide an indication for an specific error in an ebuild or any gentoo related product.
