Description Francisco Lloret 2021-10-30 10:22:25 UTC
Last emerge upgraded pulseaudio and pavucontrol packages (and many others). After this, my bluetooth headset using A2DP stop working. When i power on the headset, it connects and immediately disconnects.
Re-emerging blueman and bluez don't solves the problem.

I downgrading pulseaudio from 15.0-r1 to 13.0-r1 and pavucontrol from 5.0-r1 to 4.0 and the headset is working again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade pulseaudio/pavucontrol to the last version
2. Bluetooth headset don't works
3. Downgrade pulseaudio/pavucontrol
4. Bluetooth headset works OK
Actual Results:
Bluetooth headset don't works with pulseaudio-15.0

Expected Results:
Bluetooth headset working with last pulseaudio version.

It is sad to read that you have problems with the software. The situation seems to be a bit more complicate and requires some analysis.
We can not help you efficiently via bug tracker. The bug tracker aims rather on specific problems in .ebuilds and less on individual systems.

I have had very good experience on the gentoo IRC [1] with questions like this. Of course there are also forums and mailing lists [2,3].
I hope you understand, that I will close the bug here therefore and wish you good luck on one of the mentioned channels [4].
Please reopen the ticket in order to provide an indication for an specific error in an ebuild or any gentoo related product.
