For the +nowin useflag additional language resources have to be downloaded. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set the nowin USE for games-rpg/nwn and your LINGUAS 2. emerge nwn 3. start /opt/nwn/nwn Actual Results: The GUI is in LINGUAS as the text in game is, but the voices are still English (tested for German) Expected Results: Every including voices should be in LINGUAS, e.g. German For the +nowin useflag additional language resources have to be downloaded according to http://nwn.bioware.com/downloads/linuxclient.html#lininstall . This files are available for French on ftp://jeuxlinux.com/bioware/Neverwinter_Nights/nwfrench129.tar.gz , for German on http://xfer06.fileplanet.com/%5E389272944/082003/nwgerman129.tar.gz (~350MB each), for Spanish on http://nwdownloads.bioware.com/neverwinternights/linux/129/nwspanish129.tar.gz and Italien on http://nwdownloads.bioware.com/neverwinternights/linux/129/nwitalian129.tar.gz (only 5 MB each). The tar.gz has to be untared to the nwn directory after the nwnresources files. As far as I understand, this doesn`t substitute the Dialogue files that are already downlaoded by the ebuild - while the Dialogue files translate the GUI and written dialogues, the language resources are for the voices. Could the ebuild be updated pleace. Thanks.

Thanks, will try this tomorrow. I had a short look onto the ebuild and it looks like the changes are done for all languages except German (guess because of problems with the fileplanet mirror). In this case, could there a pointer that one has to manualy downlaod the file from fileplanet and place it in /usr/portage/distfiles, so that the ebuild can use it? Thanks again for your work, it`s a nice burthday present for me (21.02.2005) ;-)
Thanks again for your work but I give up using an installer or ebuild to get a working nwn. Today I installed it manually and with the files from an extra win xp install. It took ages to get all the files to even create the digest for the ebuild and I don`t want to have all those GIGs of nwn files in my distfiles dir. The manual installation is much faster and saver thought - I don`t blame you for that but only realised that while I tested all the installer and this ebuild. Don`t know if it works, I didn`t finish the downloads. By the way, do you know that there is a bug in the 1.65 Linux Client Update that makes it impossible to play the second chapter of SOU? This problem is well known in the Bioware NWN Linux forum. Just because you use the 1.65 update file with your ebuild. Regards, Sebastian
