Does clang itself work?
$ cat main.cpp #include <iostream> int main() { std::cout << "Hello!" << std::endl; return 0; } $ clang++ -o m main.cpp $ ./m Hello!
Your firefox and spidermonkey builds will probably work if you get rid of ccache.
At the moment building older chromium since the recent one also fails. But, will try and report back.
Can you try to rebuild sys-devel/lld?
I rebuilt sys-devel/lld and it didn't work. I also disabled ccache and dev-lang/spidermonkey and www-client/firefox ebuilds failed.
(In reply to Mamadou Babaei from comment #6) > I rebuilt sys-devel/lld and it didn't work. I also disabled ccache and > dev-lang/spidermonkey and www-client/firefox ebuilds failed. Please rebuild Clang and LLVM too: >[38;5;4m 0:04.83[m(B DEBUG: | /usr/lib/llvm/12/bin/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-clang: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/llvm/12/bin/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-clang: undefined symbol: LLVMInitializeVETargetInfo, version LLVM_12[m(B
OK, I'll try and post back.
Created attachment 745617 [details] spider monkey build log after building lld, llvm, clang
It still fails.
Created attachment 745620 [details] firefox build log after re-building llvm, clang, and lld It also fails.
All 3 of your build logs show that ccache is still in use. Try this : emerge -C ccache
Created attachment 745689 [details] spidermonkey build log with ccache disabled Yes, because I disabled ccache and it made no difference. That's why I re-enabled it again before posting those logs. But here is the logs with ccache disabled: FEATURES="-ccache -distcc buildpkg -bindist userfetch parallel-fetch"

Note that as of now firefox-93.0 uses Clang version 12 or earlier, whereas we have version 13 which I guess is installed in your system and invoked by default with the name of "clang++". Then you need to specify the slot to rebuild: $ emerge -1 sys-devel/llvm:12 sys-devel/clang:12
Yes, indeed I have 13.0 installed. $ clang --version clang version 13.0.0 Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu Thread model: posix InstalledDir: /usr/lib/llvm/13/bin I'll try your suggestion. I guess it's the same with #818682
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=818682
Your LLVM toolchain is broken. This is not a problem in firefox/spidermonkey. However, I can't tell you how to fix this. I would start with rebuilding complete LLCM toolchain, BDEPS, DEPS and RDEPS. Do not use binpkgs, distcc or ccache to get proper working packages again.
Tee KOBAYASHI's suggestion solved it for me. Thank you! $ emerge -1 sys-devel/llvm:12 sys-devel/clang:12
