Trying to emerge gnomba & get the following:

(it repeats the following several times:)
  && CONFIG_FILES=Makefile CONFIG_HEADERS= /bin/sh ./config.status
creating Makefile
cd . \
  && CONFIG_FILES=Makefile CONFIG_HEADERS= /bin/sh ./config.status
creating Makefile
cd . \
  && CONFIG_FILES=Makefile CONFIG_HEADERS= /bin/sh ./config.status
creating Makefile
make: *** creating jobs pipe: Too many open files.  Stop.

!!! ERROR: net-misc/gnomba-0.6.2 failed.

It appears that this could be a duplicate of:  http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=39183

But the bug above does not mention the pipe message.

...just a note,  I did successfully emerge gnomba-0.6.2-r1 after unmasking it.  It appears to be working fine, and since gnomba-0.6.2 will not even compile, I suggest r1 be unmasked.

r1 now stable on x86
