All night long after syncing portages 'emerge -f xmms' cannot fetch xmms-1.2.10-gentoo-patches-2.2.2.tar.bz2 from any mirror it tries. Even by hands I cannot find this file anywhere over the Internet. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
this is cause this is a tarball that is created by gentoo with our patch set. it will be up on the devs page soon enough just hold tight i am sure Eradicator is working on updating his download links.
I've just uploaded them so that you can download them manually here: http://download.iansview.com/gentoo/mirror/eradicator/xmms/xmms-1.2.10-gentoo-patches-1.0.tar.bz2
Nevermind. I should read before posting.

Not to mention that it's roughly 8 hours later and the patches are still not up, I wonder, how could a ebuild be released to the public, even if in ~x86, if it can't be installed by anyone?! If patches aren't available yet, don't release the e-build! Not that i don't appreciate the work done :)
I uploaded them... sorry about that, and as for releasing an ebuild before it can be built, that is not the case. ebuilds are always tested before release. The problem was I had the patches, but they weren't online yet... sorry...
No need to appologise : ), how do you mean however, to test the ebuilds they have to be 'released'. I agree, but how can we test the ebuilds without beeing able to get patches needed by the ebuild? I kinda figured the ebuild should only be released when all dependancies have been met. Great though, going to update right away : )
