org-contrib is now segregated into its own Git repository which means - src_install in >=app-emacs/org-mode-9.5 is going to need a change - we likely need separate packages for Org and for org-contrib (the USE flag itself better stay, I think) for live versions to remain consistent with non-live ones Given this necessity to split, I suggest to use this opportunity to rename the package so that we'd have - app-emacs/org - app-emacs/org-contrib Old versions of app-emacs/orgmode may stay for some time for compatibility. Having “org” rather than “org-mode” makes more sense: - the package is called org; - the feature is called org; - this will simplify ebuild a little. Reproducible: Always In general, -mode suffix is overused and can be considered dated style for package names at this point. It only remains in some places (URIs, mostly) by historical reasons. E.g. so-called “company-mode” is listed as just “company” in the Emacs package manager, and is referenced this way in natural language.
