Description Nick Taylor 2005-02-10 18:34:14 UTC
jdoom looks in /usr/share/games/deng/Data/jDoom for wad files, which is symlinked to /usr/share/games/doom-data. It then looks for Doom1.wad in that directory. However, doom-data installed the Doom 1 shareware WAD file as doom1.wad there, so it can't find it.

This is with games-fps/doomsday-1.8.6 and games-fps/doom-data-1.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Emerge doom-data
2. Emerge doomsday
3. Run jdoom

Actual Results:
jdoom dies with

Expected Results:
doomsday should symlink doom1.wad to Doom1.wad. A

Comment 1 Paul Bredbury 2006-02-16 05:50:25 UTC
My doomsday-1.8.6 uses /usr/share/games/doom-data/doom1.wad, so this bug sounds invalid.

Reopen if it's still a problem.
