i see clients only ebuilds. why not a server one? considering that some ebuilds are even bigger (es. UT 2004 and similar games) i don't think that's a politics about size... www.oracle.com version 10G
mmmm probably it's why it has a graphical installation script... but i'm not sure it's the only one...maybe that's a shell script too
It's primarily due to the graphical-ness of the installer, and the fact that nobody has successfully automated the entire install process. There are a few ebuilds for various versions of oracle floating around, and there is a very good document on installing it here: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Install_Oracle_10g
