There needs to be an option like --FTMF (force the mother fucker) to make portage emerge something, no matter what it's trying to bitch about being wrong. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce:
--nodeps and /path/to/ebuild should be able to handle pretty much every situation where an ebuild is within $PORTDIR or $PORTDIR_OVERLAY. Beyond that, there's not much forcing that can be done.
