Description Maciej S. Szmigiero 2021-09-12 14:58:49 UTC
misc/geoclue[modemmanager] is currently broken, since geoclue is not allowed to talk to ModemManager:
> PolicyKit authorization failed: not authorized for 'org.freedesktop.ModemManager1.Device.Control'

Since "plugdev" group is allowed to control ModemManager the easy fix is to
simply add acct-user/geoclue user to this group.

Another option would be to write an appropriate PolicyKit rule for geoclue, like the one at [1].

Update: the required rule is now part of the upstream Geoclue:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/geoclue/geoclue/-/blob/master/data/org.freedesktop.GeoClue2.rules.in

This should be now the case, as 2.6.0 of geoclue is in tree, so closing now.
