Description 4nykey 2005-02-06 15:32:46 UTC
It's a maintanance release, default CFLAGS were revised plus some tiny updates.
As some optimizations were found to impact musepack encodings and for at least one sample produce quite nasty artifacts, they were unset in Makefile.

This ebuild works.

thanks for your report, ported the makefile patch over to the new version. commited.
Comment 4 4nykey 2005-02-07 13:51:35 UTC
Thanks. One concern though regarding makefile patch.
If one has say '-O2 -ffast-math' in CFLAGS, he's guaranteed to get 'broken' mppenc. Ie bitrate will be lower upto ~10kbps plus horrible artifacts on some samples.
Flags set in $(UNBREAK) in Makefile are there to fix it. So it would be nice if those are preserved, either by 'append-flags' in ebuild or omitting them from Makefile patch.
Comment 5 Jan Brinkmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-07 14:26:33 UTC
ok, done. fixed the patch to preserve UNBREAK flags.

Why is esound now required?
