Description Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2005-02-06 08:45:48 UTC
USE=-gif emerge --oneshot --nodeps =media-video/mplayer-1.0_pre5-r5
works but a normal emerge produces this error:

Comment 1 Chris White (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-06 09:04:07 UTC
out of curiousity, does re-emerging giflib do anything?
Comment 2 Chris White (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-06 09:18:49 UTC
you must have emerge'ed libungif at some point. Re-emerge giflib and all is good. If you still want libungif, re-compile with gif USE flag.
Comment 3 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2005-02-06 11:10:06 UTC
Argh, I hate the giflib/libungif und USE=gif difficulty, particularly because qt-3.3.3 installes both version.
