Description whitehawk 2005-02-05 11:02:15 UTC
Please update the x11-drm ebuild to use a never spanshot ot then drm CVS. There should be updates to the via module.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Comment 1 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-05 16:02:07 UTC
January 4 isn't recent enough?
Comment 2 whitehawk 2005-02-06 02:35:26 UTC
There were some bugfixes, and the jan. 04 won't work with the (quite recent) r30 unichrome drivers. This should help I think.
Comment 3 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-06 15:57:33 UTC
You think? Have you tested DRM CVS to be sure?
Comment 4 Bryan Stine (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-04 12:46:18 UTC
New snapshot (still masked), 20050502, please try it out.
Comment 5 Colin Macdonald 2005-07-10 11:38:15 UTC
I guess 20050502 is unmasked now... could be closed.

*However*, maybe I can use this bug to request an even more recent snapshot to
make i915 work with suspending:

https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=7787
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=159960

I may be misinterpreting things, perahps solving this requires newer X as well
as x11-drm...
Comment 6 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-09 18:06:58 UTC
An August 7 snapshot was just added today, hopefully that's recent enough ;)
Comment 7 Roman Stanchak 2006-04-21 14:38:54 UTC
There were some updates to drm Feb 18 2006 --
"major realigment of DRM CVS with kernel code, makes integration much easier"

Which, in my case, makes it work with the realtime kernel patch set, which I acknowledge is not officially supported.
