Description ClemensT 2005-02-05 03:29:28 UTC
When I try to
3. Configuring your Network
only local loop exist.

I miss a step about -- pcmcia start -- somewhere between 'viewing documentation while installing' and '3. Configuring your Network'

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Do a 'gentoo dopcmcia' on a laptop
2. try 'Viewing documentation while installing' which doesn't work.
3. ifconfig reports no ethx
4. cd /etc/init.d followed by './pcmcia start' resolved this problem.

Expected Results:
A remark for Laptop users to do a manual '/etc/init.d/pcmcia start'

Thanks, I was already planning on adding this but your bug just jumpstarted it :)

Fixed in CVS, put in "Additional Hardware Configuration"
