Description Andreas Proschofsky (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-09-18 17:06:24 UTC
When i run x-setup I always just get a resolution of 640x480, even if I choose a
higher one. The problem seems to be, that the script is not able to read the
edid settings of my monitor and goes for the "safe" hsync-range. My monitor is a
iiyama Vison Master Po 450 (A901HT). Is there a possibility to ask the user for
the hsync range, when edid reading fails?

Yes, this is something that we need to do.

OK, the gamecd-ut2k3-i586-1.4.1.iso fixes this, giving a menu option to use EDID
or not. This iso should appear in the next few hours on ibiblio. Thanks for the
bug report! :)
