Can you reproduce this with the following flags? -O3 -march=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe
This problem is fixed by removing -j3 from the MAKEOPTS. Is there a way to do this from the ebuild?
Can you reproduce it again with MAKEOPTS="-j3"? It could also be a local hardware fault.
