Description Chetan Sarva 2005-02-03 19:16:14 UTC
after installing ntop-3.1 (currently masked for another issue) depscan.sh hangs/locks every time. was unable to find the issue until I unmerged ntop and it began to work again.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. unmask ntop-3.1 in /etc/portage/package.unmask
2. emerge ntop
3.

does ntop-3.0 initscript work? (they are the same...)
can you remove /etc/init.d/ntop and re-emerge?

Comment 2 Alan McNeil 2005-02-10 05:04:20 UTC
To fix:

/etc/conf.d/ntop
1. Needs QUOTES on the parameter list. It is being parsed as "-u"
ie:
NTOP_OPTS="-u ntop -P /var/lib/ntop"

fixed - thanks Alan.
