Description Honourable Ostrich 2021-08-05 00:07:28 UTC
Hi, these are fun super-lightweight games with very very easy build and are already packaged for almost every distro around.

https://github.com/abakh/nbsdgames

It took BSD people like 45 minutes to package it. It is that simple.

Thanks!

I'll assign to games@ as I'm interested in packaging this.

Was worried about name conflicts, but think might only need a blocker on fltk[games] (for checkers and sudoku), which doesn't seem so bad.

Aside from that, just needs to use pkg-config for ncurses. Not that I really looked at this.

The AUR package used nb* prefix for the games to solve the name collision problem.

Debian would probably do so as well.

Others have not.

There are also options in Makefile to help with that already.

As for pkg-config, I have not used it. Let me know if I can help.
