After upgrade of net-snmp package to version 5.2 php (if compiled with snmp flag) gives the following error:

/usr/bin/php: symbol lookup error: /usr/bin/php: undefined symbol: usmAES192PrivProtocol

net-snmp broke their lib.
recompile php/mod_php/php-cgi.

i know that, but they should do something about it because it brakes peoples machines. Shouldn't someone from their side (net-snmp maintainer) comment something ?? ... like masking the package or anything else ...

Liviu, I don´t really see why this should be masked. Upgrading libraries whose older versions were used before to compile other packages (like php/mod_php with USE="snmp") may cause problems. You can (and maybe should) use revdep-rebuild to check if there are any dependency problems after upgrade. 

Note that I have submitted a separate Bug 80066 because revdep-rebuild fails to detect the problem in this particular case.
