With the introduction of a separate xwayland ebuild from xorg-server-1.20.11-r2 and up, my plasma desktop has been all sorts of strange:

Multi-screen placement, wallpapers and other cosmetic settings have been changed or swapped
Sddm doesn't remember my keyboard layout (switched from FR to US)

by far the most troublesome: starting any X application gives a "Xwayland has crashed" notification, though they sometimes launch anyway after a second attempt (?)

Rolling back to xorg-server-1.20.11 (which gets rid of the separate xwayland ebuild) fixes the issues
