The bad thing is that LaTeX opens some sort of shell and holds my emerge -u world all night :(

Reproducible: Always

Comment 1 Steve Arnold archtester gentoo-dev 2005-01-30 11:24:57 UTC
USE="doc" emerge =doxygen-1.3.9.1 -v works just fine for me (ie, all doxygen USE
flags enabled).

>>> app-doc/doxygen-1.3.9.1 merged.

I'll try 1.4.1 again, but please post your emerge info and doxygen version(s)
you're having trouble with.
Comment 2 Steve Arnold archtester gentoo-dev 2005-01-30 11:33:42 UTC
Well, 1.4.1 builds fine as well (it better...) although I got lots of these,
as well as on the previous ebuild version:

Comment 5 Steve Arnold archtester gentoo-dev 2005-02-18 18:32:33 UTC
I can't reproduce this here :(

>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
 * Caching service dependencies ...                                    [ ok ]
>>> app-doc/doxygen-1.4.1 merged.
>>> Recording app-doc/doxygen in "world" favorites file...

I believe this are the most restrictive settings:

FEATURES="sandbox buildpkg distcc ccache userpriv usersandbox"

The tetex virtual resolves to this on my system:

app-text/tetex
      Latest version available: 2.0.2-r5
      Latest version installed: 2.0.2-r4

Hmm... Apparently I don't even have the latest version, however, the docs
build just fine.  Go figure...

Can you update tetex and try again? I'm basically still x86, although my
package.keywords getting rather lengthy (see below) so maybe I've updated
beyond this one. I'll try on another machine with older gcc/glibc stuff,
but I may have already upgraded everything in the house...

Comment 6 Steve Arnold archtester gentoo-dev 2005-04-02 17:05:59 UTC
Damn, no matter which sandbox or piv settings I use in FEATURES, I can't reproduce
this bug. I changed the src_compile from emake to make DESTDIR=${D} so you can
test anything from 1.3.9.1 up and see if this still happens.
Comment 7 Ferris McCormick (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-04 06:35:46 UTC
As an addition to Comment #6:
I have built both doxygen-1.4.1, 1,4.2 on sparc with no problems with 'emake all' and a build looking like this:

MAKEOPTS='-j4' FEATURES='distcc' USE='qt latex -doc' emerge =app-doc/doxygen-1.4.2
(for example).

This builds parallel across two systems, and resulting doxygen-1.4.2 (and doxywizard) seem fine. At least, it can generate its own documentation
and the doxygen-generated part of my d.g.o webpage.
