falconseye is NOT really dependant on either timidity or mpg123 it just needs some midi and mp3 player... and works fine without any... they all can be configured in /usr/share/games/falconseye/config/jtp_snds.txt so there (at least) must be an option to use (at least) pmidi, aplaymidi for midi (i, for example use aplaymidi) and some other cmdline mp3 players (i use mplayer) for mp3 and option not to use any Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 53411 [details] falconseye-1.9.4a-r1.ebuild well... i suppose this is more flexible ebuild which has more options for.. hm... options
Created attachment 53500 [details] falconseye-1.9.4a-r1.ebuild tested ebuild and fixed all stupid mistakes .... now works fine with various USE flags
as i've read on pmidi homepage it is IDENTICAL to aplaymidi :) so, i suppose it is right to drop pmidi support .... (the latest pmidi version is 20 dec 2003 ...)
Created attachment 53691 [details] falconseye-1.9.4a-r1.ebuild dropped obsolete pmidi ....
Created attachment 64856 [details, diff] falconseye-1.9.4a.ebuild.patch ebuild without undesired 'nosound' USE flag... i'm not sure about all this mp3 stuff as falconseye's data seems not to have any mp3 file =]
it was dropped
