I'm building gentoo on an AMD64 box I just built. When I did "emerge kde" it tries to install lcms 1.12. I get the following error: === checking for correct ltmain.sh version... no *** Gentoo sanity check failed! *** *** libtool.m4 and ltmain.sh have a version mismatch! *** *** (libtool.m4 = 1.5.10, ltmain.sh = 1.5) *** Please run: libtoolize --copy --force if appropriate, please contact the mainteiner of this package (or your distribution) for help. === I've gone into the /var/tmp/portage/lcms-1.12/work/lcms-1.12 folder, did the libtoolize it told me to, configure, make, make install -- no errors there, but "emerge kde" still tried to compile it again. I also tried editing the file from 1.5 to 1.5.10 in the ltmain.sh file, but didn't know what steps were needed to do at that point to compile it (since issuing another "emerge lcms" re-untar's the archive, so my changes get undone. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. "emerge kde" or "emerge lcms" after base installation, and following X-config setup and nvidia driver setup from the Desktop Resources page. 2. 3. Actual Results: exact text of error is in Details Expected Results: properly compiled lcms and continued with the other packages to finish the "kde" compilation.
Another amd64 box. See comment #2 http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=74168#c2 of bug 74168 for the solution.
I've also encountered the same issue on an amd64 machine. This issue does not occur with media-libs/lcms-1.13. I suggest that the keywords on 1.13 be changed to "amd64".
