Created attachment 56483 [details] oops message while untaring portage20050414 tar I copied this file from /var/log directory in the filesystem created by the minimal install cd. The end of the file shows the oops that I got
I got a very similar problem after booting from the 2004.3 minimal install CD while untaring the portage tar as follows: tar --preserve -xjf /mnt/gentoo/portage-20050414.tar.bz2 -C /mnt/gentoo/usr This continues for about five minutes after which the oops occurs. I've attached the /var/log/messages file, which should contain all the information about my machine. The oops is at the end of the file. Cheers.
Please test win4lin-sources-2.6.11
