Reason tha i found: http://www.wiretrip.net/rfp/libwhisker/libwhisker2-current.tar.gz is now at version 2.2, when you download http://www.wiretrip.net/rfp/libwhisker/libwhisker2-current.tar.gz and untar it, you'll see that the they changed to a new version. So just update the ebuild for the new size. Well, editing /usr/portage/net-libs/libwhisker/files/digest-libwhisker-2.1 and changing the MD5sum and size to it's new one, everything went wrong due to portage untaring to version 2.2 and trying to access directory *2.1/ So...please someone update the ebuild please!!
wouldn't it be better to rename the tarball and mirroring it!?
