Description Jory A. Pratt 2005-01-26 17:06:35 UTC
uti-linux new mount format can be confusing for new users after using fdisk and calling everything hda1 hda2 and so on and so forth (depending on drive setup)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge latest version of util-linux
2. reboot
3.

Actual Results:
run df -Th and check the output should see all luns reported instead of common
hda1 hda3 whatever depending on hard drive setups

I have a diff I will put up for all that are curious as to what has changed of
the release.

This is simple what has changed in mount info that is sent to mtab after device
is mounted.

this only occurs if you have devfs

do you not have /dev/.devfsd on your system ?
Comment 3 Jory A. Pratt 2005-01-31 14:31:49 UTC
Vapier yes I hate udev so I am post poning the conversion as long as possible.

you didnt really answer my question (or i cant figure it out which is your answer and which is your anti-udev statement) ...

do you have /dev/.devfsd ?

LOL of course I have it but I switched to udev tonight seeing I can still leave hotplug disabled. I was under the impression hotplug was a requirement for udev is why I was so against it but me has it now so all is good.
