Description red0x 2005-01-26 08:01:37 UTC
When trying to emerge tetex-2.0.2-r5, ebuild dies complaining that the .tar.gz it tried to unpack does not exist, when it had just finished downloading it. (Maybe the unpack line points to the wrong file?)

Also, it appears it does not do an md5 check on the source file it tried to unpack.

Trimmed Output follows:

>>> md5 src_uri ;-) tetex-texmf-2.0.2.tar.gz
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) tetex-texmfsrc-2.0.2.tar.gz
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) tetex-2.0.2-gentoo.tar.gz
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking tetex-src-2.0.2.tar.gz to /var/tmp/portage/tetex-2.0.2-r5/work
tar: /usr/portage/distfiles/tetex-src-2.0.2.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

!!! ERROR: app-text/tetex-2.0.2-r5 failed.
!!! Function unpack, Line 375, Exitcode 2
!!! failure unpacking tetex-src-2.0.2.tar.gz
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge tetex

Just googled following tip: -F 32
mkfs.vfat -F 32 /dev/hdc2
Comment 2 red0x 2005-01-26 09:03:04 UTC
How does that help with a tetex ebuild?

What is the content of app-text/tetex/files/digest-tetex-2.0.2-r5?

Mine is:
MD5 a16f6bba227d55e79aeee46fbbd82d28 tetex-src-2.0.2.tar.gz 11745933
MD5 d3bdb96f9077e43b2115d3cc471743b3 tetex-texmf-2.0.2.tar.gz 52424280
MD5 40d4b2c5582eccbee4b6ec692c3cc253 tetex-texmfsrc-2.0.2.tar.gz 22909537
MD5 0a0ba30552331663f496d41b8ca2a299 tetex-2.0.2-gentoo.tar.gz 1704

so tetex-src-2.0.2.tar.gz should be downloaded and unpacked smoothly.

I guess it was related to mirror problem. Please reopen if the problem
still persists (even after you tried another mirror).
