the update to naim-0.11.7.3 should be rolled back.. as it stands now the client is completely useless.. nonprintable keystrokes are interpreted as HTML escape codes causing the client interface to become unusable Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.run naim 2.attempt to login with /connect <username> [enter] 3.note that [enter] is now printed on the screen as "ŗ" 4.attempt to backspace wrongly interpreted character.. 5.become enraged that your prompt is now filled with "/connect <username>ŗćććććć
This doesn't happen for me. The "Enter" key submits the command as expected.
to quote the author: You absolutely just proved my point. If I had not received a bug report for this until a future release, it may have been extremely difficult to go through all of the changes to see what could have caused the problem. As it stands, thanks to people who I did not have to argue with to get them to upgrade, I was able to identify the problem earlier today. I released 0.11.7.3.1 with a fix for the problem about 3 hours ago. I have not enabled the upgrade beacon because it is not a major problem (it only affects people who build naim on systems with a specific subset of of coreutils versions).
0.11.7.3.1 now in portage and 0.11.7.3 removed. Thanks.
