Description Jonathan 2005-01-25 06:51:57 UTC
I am new to gentoo. I tried a few other fixes like setting emerge system USE="-gdbm" and stuff, but to no avail. I have an amd xp 3200, running a stage 2 install. Here is the error:

pp_pack.c: In function 'S_unpack_rec':
pp_pack.c: 1694 internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report...
...
Preprocessed source stored into /var/tmp/portage/perl-5.8.5-r2/temp/cclvsZ2N.out file
make: ***[pp_pack.o] Error 1
!!! ERROR: dev-lang/perl-5-8-5-r2 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 236, Exitcode 2
!!! Unable to make

If you have a solution, please list the explicit commands to use, do not simply refer to them. I think that it is easier for everyone that way.

Thanks.
