There is a new upstream version available. The old version requires gtkmm-2.0, which I'm trying to eradicate from my system, so a new ebuild for the new version which compiles against gtkmm-2.4 would be excellent.

I just manually downloaded the tarball for gip-1.2.1-1, and it still requires gtkmm-2.0, not 2.4 yet.  Maybe debian is lying to us?
