This patch modifies /etc/init.d/gpm to add new variables in /etc/conf/gpm to be able to support two mice

if you use /dev/input/mice, does this just work ?

The kernel 2.6 allows to work with 2 or more mice using the same device/dev/input/mice

ok, well the implicit question is, if /dev/input/mice works fine, why do you need this patch ?

no real point when you can use /dev/input/mice or just stick these options into $APPEND
