when I try to rip a DVD, acidrip returns from the encoding window immediately reporting that the rip is done.  The AVI is 0 bytes long.

Downgrading to mplayer 1.0_pre5-r5 fixed the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.  upgrade mplayer
2.  rip with acidrip
3.  profit!!

MPlayer 6 has had major changes to the source, which is probably why acidrip isn't working (something command line wise).  Closing this as upstream.  Please report a bug here:

http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?atid=505437&group_id=63864&func=browse

So I can verify this is supposed to work with MPlayer pre6.  Include the necessary debug information (a log of the issue).  Reopen this bug once it's been solved upstream.
