Description ivo welch 2005-01-22 15:15:12 UTC
I just downloaded acrobat 5.0.10 (latest version) from the adobe acrobat website. it installs and runs just fine on amd64.

in the portage tree, acroread is masked by -*

app-text/acroread-5.10 is marked ~amd64 already, but thanks anyway.
Comment 2 ivo welch 2005-01-22 17:23:44 UTC
sorry, one more minor issue on version counting. I just checked again. are you sure you have your version right? when I go to the acrobat reader website, it tells me that 5.0.10 is the latest version, not 5.10. (the reader itself also identifies itself as such.)

of course, it could just be that their website is screwed up and leads me to an older version.

regards,

/iaw
Comment 3 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-22 17:44:53 UTC
the previous version was added as 5.09, 5.010 wouldn't be higher and since it was a security bug, it became 5.10
