I believe your LLVM/LLD setup is busted (probably related to USE=libunwind)...
Hello, I opened a bug report(#792483) as I did not find this one. If my bug report is a duplicate of this one, it seems that a manual override of LDFLAGS fixes the compilation: /etc/portage/env/compiler-clang ``` LDFLAGS="-fuse-ld=lld -rtlib=compiler-rt -unwindlib=libunwind" ``` Probably the `-unwindlib=libunwind` part is important and all the rest is already set by the EBUILD itself. Can you try with this change of LDFLAGS ?

The 'Preparing the environment' section does avoid this issue, but I never spent the time to debug it farther yet. https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Clang/Bootstrapping
Hopefully it works now.
