Hey, since I can't seem to get a hold of you in IRC, let's try this approach. On 2021-05-16 you removed yourself as the maintainer from 18 packages, and placed them all into maintainer-needed state. And that's a good thing, if you don't use those packages, better to reassign them for someone else. But the devmanual states it's a requirement to send "packages up for grabs" mail to gentoo-dev and gentoo-dev-announce mailing lists after reassigning packages to maintainer-needed . https://devmanual.gentoo.org/general-concepts/package-maintainers/index.html https://devmanual.gentoo.org/general-concepts/package-maintainers/index.html#adding-and-removing-maintainers https://archives.gentoo.org/gentoo-dev-announce/threads/2021-05/ I've pinged you in IRC twice about it, and hope this bug will serve as a gentle reminder in case you weren't aware of this rule. We all obey it.
Sorry I missed your pings in irc. However, I did send an email a while back about this [1], but no one took the packages. I did change my plan and not p.mask them, so if I should have sent another email that's fine. Respond and let me know. [1] https://groups.google.com/g/linux.gentoo.dev/c/WLiWJIZuztE
Hey, thanks for responding and clarifying. I tried searching for your mails, but maybe didn't look for mails sent in April anymore. I see it now, https://archives.gentoo.org/gentoo-dev-announce/message/1c262ea3f585d64fa42127948f9aca50 I definitely feel like this amount of packages, and popular ones such as django-stack deserve the attention to call for a new maintainer. Sorry for the inconvenience, all seems good here :)
