I have a older (non-plug n play) network card (Ether16 LAN Card). It appears that the livecd did not include the drivers. Per handbook note about modules not being included and to open a bug report ... (http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handbook/handbook-x86.xml?full=1). 
I am requesting a livecd loaded with ethernet card drivers. I used the install-x86-minimal-2004.3-r1.iso image for the boot.

Is this an ISA card or PCI?

Exactly what model is it?  Who makes it?  Does it even have Linux drivers?
